There is something about the juxtaposition of nature with architecture, shape and color. It is all very much alive. In painting this piece I was reminded of Cinque Terre, only this is my home in Pacifica, California at Linda Mar/Pacifica State Beach.

If you time it just right, this is one of the most dramatic entrances into San Francisco, just across the Bay Bridge from the East Bay. The magnificent cityscape comes into view right after you pass Treasure Island.
